Sustainable Solutions: How does DRUCKFARBEN Group Lead in Eco-Friendly Ink Technologies?

Aligned with the latest market trends and addressing the bespoke needs of its partners, Druckfarben is proud to introduce its innovative PU-Based, NC & PVC-free systems. These innovations reflect the commitment to sustainability and dedication to providing converters with advanced, eco-conscious solutions. Engineered for performance and environmental responsibility, the PU Ultima Ink Series sets the benchmark for excellence in the flexible packaging industry.

The PU Ultima Ink Series have undergone extensive testing on a diverse range of substrates under rigorous industrial conditions. These inks deliver exceptional printing performance with superior printability, even at high speeds exceeding 400 meters per minute. They offer excellent adhesion with almost all the available printing substrates and maximum bond strength in laminates even under aggressive conditions like pasteurization and retort.

The PU Ultima Ink Series is part of the Group’s effort aimed at fostering circular economy solutions for post-industrial waste from printed plastic films.

The goal is to improve recycling processes through innovative approaches by using the PU – based ink system which has shown to enhance the quality of recyclable material.

The challenges associated with recycling film, which are produced from multiple layers of different polymers can complicate the recycling process. Creating a more sustainable approach to managing these materials at their end-of-life stage is a pivotal step to achive a lower product footprint.

The R&D team focuses on cultivating circular approaches in packaging substrates, aiming to make inks that are not only recyclable but also maintain the quality and the required properties.

PU Ultima Series is part of a broader movement towards reducing the environmental impact of plastic waste by improving recycling capabilities and developing new, sustainable materials management strategies.
