Inorganic pigments are formed from natural substances, typically oxides. They were the first pigments used for painting and writing. Among the most common types are titanium dioxide, iron oxide, bismuth vanadate, molybdenum orange and ultramarine. Key applications are paints, printing inks and construction materials.
