Flint Group reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility by achieving the prestigious Gold Rating from EcoVadis.

This Gold Rating, an upgrade from the Silver status Flint Group has held since 2022, places the company among the top 5% of EcoVadis-rated companies in the printing ink manufacturing sector.

EcoVadis, the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings, commended Flint Group for its exemplary greenhouse gas management systems and ambitious decarbonisation goals, which are aligned with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Since its previous assessment, Flint Group has made significant strides across several key areas, notably increasing its score in the “Environment” category from 70 to 79 points. The company also improved its score in “Labor and Human Rights,” rising from 70 to 76 points.

These advancements reflect Flint Group’s comprehensive environmental policies, enhanced transparency through its Sustainability Report, and its methodical approach to sustainability management.

“This milestone represents a significant step forward in Flint Group’s sustainability journey, solidifying our position as an industry leader dedicated to environmental stewardship and social responsibility,” Pepyn Dinandt, CEO of Flint Group, said. “Achieving the Gold Rating from EcoVadis not only validates our structured approach to sustainability but also reinforces our commitment to delivering measurable, positive outcomes for both our customers and the communities we serve.”

“At the core of our sustainability mission is a commitment to helping our customers achieve their own environmental objectives,” Paul Winstanley, VP of technology and product management, added. “By providing innovative products that support a circular economy in packaging, and reducing carbon footprints, we aim to create lasting value for our partners and the planet. With initiatives like our PRISM framework and validated Science-Based Targets, we are addressing today’s challenges while also preparing for long-term environmental and social responsibility.”

Since 2019, Flint Group has reduced its overall greenhouse gas emissions by 36.1%, with Scope 1 and 2 emissions dropping by 23% in 2023 alone. The company remains on track to achieve its ambitious goal of a 46.2% reduction by 2030.
