DuPont announced that Artistri Digital Printing Solutions are produced using 100% renewable electricity through Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) supporting DuPont’s Fort Madison, Iowa, manufacturing site.

This milestone reflects the continued commitment of DuPont to advancing renewable energy adoption across its operations and supports the company’s Sustainability Goals, ambition to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, and commitment to RE100.

“Transitioning our Artistri manufacturing operations to 100 percent renewable electricity underscores our commitment to operational sustainability while continuing to deliver high performance ink solutions our customers rely on,” said Rob Simpson, General Manager, DuPont Artistri Digital Printing Solutions. “This achievement is an important step in advancing our decarbonization strategy.”

The renewable electricity claim is supported by the procurement of U.S.-sourced RECs, representing electricity generated from renewable resources.

Switching to 100% renewable electricity for Artistri manufacturing results in a 61% reduction in Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions related to grid electricity versus the 2019 baseline.

DuPont continues to implement a portfolio of decarbonization initiatives across its global operations, including energy efficiency improvements, on-site renewable energy generation where feasible, and strategic renewable electricity procurement.

DuPont remains committed to lowering greenhouse gas emissions, increasing renewable energy use, and supporting customers in meeting their own sustainability goals.
