Samuel Schär Assumes CEO Position at Bühler Group 

He succeeds Stefan Scheiber, who is nominated as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Samuel Schär assumed his position as CEO of Bühler, effective January 1. Schär’s appointment as CEO was made in April 2025.

He succeeds Stefan Scheiber, who is being proposed as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors at the upcoming Annual General Meeting in February 2026.  

Schär has been at Bühler for 20. He has established the Nanotechnology business unit and then led the Grinding & Dispersing business area for several years before joining the Group Executive Board in 2013 and leading the Advanced Materials segment for 10 years. He later took over the Global Services & Sales organization.

Stefan Scheiber will be nominated for election as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bühler Group at the company’s next Annual General Meeting, in February 2026. 

With a 35-year career at Bühler, Stefan Scheiber has been a member of Group Management for 20 years in various areas of responsibility and has served as CEO for 10 years. 

Calvin Grieder, current Chairman of the Board of Directors, will step down at the Annual General Meeting after 25 years as CEO, Member of the Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
