INX made notable progress on several fronts, particularly in the Environmental category.

INX International Ink Co. has earned a Silver Medal Sustainability rating from EcoVadis, placing the company among the top 15% of organizations worldwide assessed by the trusted provider of business sustainability ratings platform.
The recognition reflects INX’s ongoing commitment to ESG excellence, responsible sourcing, and sustainable innovation across its global operations.
“Attaining a Silver medal confirms that our management systems have matured and our evidence base is stronger,” says Peter Paul Obijaju, INX director of ESG, noting the advancement from the Bronze rating received in 2025. “The next step is to maintain momentum and improve our targeted goals so we can move upward to the Gold standard.”
EcoVadis evaluates more than 100,000 companies in 175+ countries across 200 industry categories, assessing their environmental practices, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. This year, INX made notable progress on several fronts, particularly in the Environmental category.
“The most notable improvement was achieved in the Environmental category, which increased by 21 points,” Obijaju says. “This progress reflects the relentless environmental policy and product stewardship drive that has been fully integrated into our operations. It is led by the environmental team under the leadership of Kevin Cochran, our director of global operational S&E.”
As a result of these advancements, INX is now ranked within the top 2% globally for environmental systems based on the EcoVadis assessment.
“This is a remarkable achievement that underscores the strength of our governance and operational execution,” he adds.
For more than two decades, INX and parent company Sakata INX, have invested in sustainable operations, regulatory compliance, energy efficiency, and circular packaging innovations aligned with the company’s ESG framework and customer expectations. One example is GenesisÒ Washable inks, designed for flexographic and gravure printing and engineered to improve recyclability and support circular economy initiatives.
Obijaju says that INX’s progress is tied to the development and improvement of several key sustainability initiatives.
“We enhanced our ESG governance by formalizing sustainability policies and integrating them into our operations,” he states. “We also strengthened sustainable procurement practices by requiring suppliers to meet ethical and environmental standards. And in terms of data transparency, we improved our reporting systems for GHG emissions, labor practices, and compliance through enhanced assurances of ESG data.”
As highlighted in INX’s Sustainability Report, Obijaju says these advancements reinforce the company’s position as a trusted partner for global brands prioritizing strong ESG performance.
“For brand owners, our Silver Medal designation offers added confidence that INX is managing ESG risks and compliance in a way that supports responsible sourcing and long-term supply resilience. Many brands use EcoVadis ratings as part of their supplier selection process, so this achievement strengthens our position in global supply chains.
“For consumers,” he adds, “it reinforces that our packaging inks are backed by responsible governance, environmental management, and sustainable supply chain practices. Overall, it all leads to INX contributing to a more sustainable future.”
