The new facility in Flowery Branch, GA, features an expanded showroom and warehouse, and provides Mimaki with excellent access to shipping.

The digital printing segment is continuing to grow, with the industry leaders expanding their positions in key regions. For Mimaki USA, North America has been a strong area for more than two decades, since parent company Mimaki Engineering opened its American headquarters in 1999. With training centers in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New Jersey, Texas, and Canada, Mimaki USA has more than 160 employees throughout the continent.
In June 2025, Mimaki USA made a significant move, opening its new corporate office in Flowery Branch, GA, north of Atlanta. The new facility features an expanded showroom and warehouse, as well as training and administrative space.
“I, along with all our employees, am excited to dedicate this new home for Mimaki USA,” said Naoya Kawagoshi, president of Mimaki USA, during the grand opening celebration. “Not only are we opening this impressive new headquarters, but, throughout this year, we are also celebrating the 50th anniversary for Mimaki Engineering, established in 1975, and the 25th anniversary for Mimaki USA, established in 1999.
“Our decision to locate closer to the North Georgia Inland Port will also provide greater access to more timely and economical shipping throughout North America while supporting our planned growth to serve the print industry for many years to come,” added Kawagoshi.
A specialist in inkjet printers and cutters, Mimaki’s technologies are primarily found in the sign & graphics, textile & apparel, 3D printing and industrial printing segments.
“Mimaki products are used across countless industries to create stunning applications that range from vehicle graphics, product prototyping, wayfinding and ADA signage, point of purchase and point of sale displays, clothing, product embellishment, surface imaging, tradeshow graphics, and so much more,” Mimaki VP Ken VanHorn noted.
VanHorn added that unlike its competitors, the company designs purpose-built products tailored to specific segments and applications, leveraging its engineering expertise.
“By developing hardware, ink and software as complete solutions, Mimaki delivers advanced features that ensure exceptional reliability and vibrant, high-definition prints,” VanHorn continued. “Mimaki innovations include the Mimaki Advanced Pass System (MAPS) to minimize banding, Mimaki Clear Control (MCC) to minimize ink curing time, and the Nozzle Recovery System (NRS) to perform automatic nozzle cleaning. By offering a wider range of inks compared to competitors, including eco-solvent, UV-curable and dye-sublimation inks, Mimaki leads the industry in versatility.”
Having its new headquarters in Flowery Branch, GA gives Mimaki excellent access to shipping.
“Strategically selected in Flowery Branch, GA, the new headquarters will enhance operations and logistics by offering improved access to faster and more cost-effective shipping throughout North America,” VanHorn added. “Located just minutes from major interstate highways and only a few miles from the emerging North Georgia Inland Port – connecting to the busiest ocean ports in the Southeast – the facility provides easy access to rail lines and fast, economical shipping throughout North America.”
Mimaki USA has more than doubled the size of its warehouse space and has also significantly expanded the customer experience spaces. According to VanHorn, this new expansion supports more customer-facing events, hands-on product demonstrations, and application development in a dedicated lab. This new state-of-the-art facility is open to dealers, print providers and partners.
Opening the new headquarters is timely, as the company recently launched new print technologies at the International Sign Association (ISA) tradeshow in April 2025. These technologies include the JV200-160 eco-solvent roll-to-roll printer, the TX330-1800 Series hybrid direct & transfer inkjet printer, and the UJV300DTF-75 roll-to-roll printer.
Additionally, the Mimaki JV/CJV330 Series printers and eco-solvent SS21 and BS4 inks are now eligible for the 3M MCS Warranty Program, now covering three years of warranty. When combined with the Mimaki Parts Plus+ Warranty, both together cover up to five years of warranty.
All of this has Mimaki USA well prepared for further growth in North America.
“Mimaki USA has experienced double-digit, year-over-year growth for more than a decade, making it imperative to find a corporate space that could support continued expansion across corporate, sales, service, and administration functions,” VanHorn concluded.
