Roland DG Corporation will be collaborating with Roland Corporation, the music company, on a special “808 DAY” event. The event will take place Aug. 8-31, 2025 at the Roland Store Tokyo.

The Roland Store Tokyo is a flagship retail store with interactive displays. This allows customers to experience the fun and excitement of creating music and the world of the Roland brand.

As part of the celebration, those who visit the store can get a firsthand look at Roland’s TR-808, the world’s first programmable percussion machine. Customers who purchase a new SP-404MKII electronic audio sampler will receive a limited-edition faceplate featuring a TR-808-inspired design custom-printed on a Roland DG VersaOBJECT™ MO-240 benchtop UV flatbed printer.

The MO-240 allows for high-definition printing directly onto the SP-404MKII audio sampler’s metal faceplate. The MO-240’s expanded gamut, which includes Orange and Red inks, made it possible to accurately recreate the TR-808’s iconic colors.
