In 2008, Rodman Media launched Printed Electronics Now, which was an offshoot of Ink World and Label and Narrow Web. The goal of the new site was to focus on the potential of the fledgling printed electronics market.

Over the past decade and a half, the printed electronics market has seen numerous shifts, moving more toward a flexible hybrid electronics model, where printing and traditional silicon electronics coexist. Printed Electronics Now has been there for all of the action, new projects and commercial launches.

As Rodman Media began its major redesign, the Printed Electronics Now team, many of whom are also part of Ink World, saw the opportunity to reintegrate Printed Electronics Now and Ink World. Flexible and printed electronics, by definition, require printing, and in most cases, utilize conductive inks or pastes. It strikes us that returning the Printed Electronics Now site back to its roots during this major redesign is a natural choice, and will also benefit our readers by bringing the latest news about flexible and printed electronics to the Ink World audience.

Ink World’s new website wil be launched in the next few days. Featuring an easy-to-use and intuitive interface, visitors can quickly browse through our website, finding the information they need, whether it is breaking news, online exclusives, features, suppliers’ directory and much more. We look forward to continuing to bring the latest news to our Printed Electronics Now audience.
