Henry Brooks is joining Inksolutions as the manager of its newly established black dispersion division. Inksolutions has put Henry and Jay Brooks together to utilize their past experiences to set up this black dispersion operation in the same style as Inksolutions has supplied varnish, overprints and additives to the lithographic ink market – high quality tailored products that the customers need and want.

Most recently, Mr. Brooks was president of EC Pigments and, before that, Wolstenholme International’s president. He had an extended career at Lawter International, with his last position being vice president of sales. Mr. Brooks’ experience fits in perfectly for the new Black Dispersion division, along with being able to support Inksolutions with the Dong Yang metallic ink sales and its vehicle and overprint product line.

“With this move, along with some of the others announced earlier, shows you that ‘We’re putt’n The Band Back Together!’,” said Inksolutions’ president-again John Jilek. “We have grouped some of the strongest people in the varnish business together to build a strong company. The results should stress our dedicated attention to the lithographic ink maker.”

Inksolutions will produce these products at its Commerce, CA plant, which currently makes varnish along with spackle and paint products. The Chicago facility will specialize in manufacturing varnish, additives and overprint varnishes, which are becoming a significant part of Inksolutions’ business.
